Help with LinkedIn!

http://www.linkedin.com/answers/professional-development/professional-networking/PRO_PNT/328741-18597155

Here is my question as posted on LinkedIn for our Buffini Clubnet Group.  How do I have that posted on my LinkedIn Home Page?  They have really added so many features to this site, since I joined, that it is now a challenge for me.  So, as I always do, I am depending on my buddies here on active rain for assistance.

I noticed that they now even feature video!  Has anyone tried it?  I have the Flip, but, haven't had the time to figure it out, either.  Really tough when your profession gets in the way of playing on the net!

Please help me, if you can:)

Do Your Listings Have Pets? What To Do for Showings?

Honestly, I have a pet.  A black lab, Jack.  He is a wonderful, mellow dog.  When someone comes to the door, he becomes anxious and barks.  Well, yes, that is his job.  Watch dog.  However, when you have a listing, it is not good when you, the Realtor, are at the front door with your clients and a dog starts barking at you.  Buyers who are not familiar with dogs, really don't like to hear them.  Some people are allergic to dogs or cats.  What to do?   JD looking to see who is working outdoors!

Often the seller can place their pet into a crate.  It isn't for a long period of time, if it is just for that showing.  However, not sure about leaving them in a crate all day, while your sellers may be at work.  We have tried, the basement, the garage or a pen out in the backyard.

You still hear the barking, but, don't worry so much about the safety of your clients.

Sometimes the seller will take their dog for a walk. I have offered clients my help and have taken dogs for a walk during a showing.

Take them for a ride.     Jack

I know my dog is thrilled when he accompanies me when I am doing my popbys.  Most of my clients know him well and provide him with a pat on the head.  Makes his day!

If they are really barkers, and some are, try to find a place to hold them for a week or so.  Another home, a friend, relative or neighbor.  Especially, when you first list the property.  That is when you will have the most activity.  Can you imagine refusing a showing right now?

Happy puppies by Fran Rokicki Do not burn candles, to hide the pet's odor, some people are more offended by that!

If you have more ideas, I would appreciate you sharing them.  My clients do want their homes to sell and they may not be able to use the tips that I am offering for their pets during showings.

How to Afford a Seminar Trip!

This post is mostly for my Buffini members, however, it can be used to get you to any event that will help you promote and grow, yourself and your business!  I always try to meet up with my friends from activerain.  After helping eachother through some of our daily struggles and helping me with technical issues:), I look forward to meeting these members in person.  It worked out well at MasterMind Summit in San Diego.  We were able to chat and laugh a bit on our breaks! Save eachother good seats!  Always good to do.

Fran's photos from Buffini's Master Mind 08My Rhode Island Referral Buddies:) The Marantz's

So, here we go!  Get online and check out airlines, going to the airport where your event is being held.  I use Google!  It brings up wonderful options.  Then, I check out the Buffini and Company website.  He has a travel agency that just works to help us get good prices on rooms near his events.  Trust me, I check it everytime and we do get the least expensive room rates!  I like to be very near the event.  I don't mind walking, except when I am dressed up and wearing high heels.  I try to look business professional when I attend these events.  You never know where you may meet someone who will need a good Realtor, for a referral or just to chat.

Brian Buffini Philadelphia Turning Point, Fran RMary Beth (popby queen)

I am trying something new this event.  I am going the morning of the event.  It will save me the hotel room for one night and of course, dinner.  At the airport of my departure, it will save me the parking fee for my car.  All in all, the savings is huge.  Budgeting is really emphasized by my Coach, Brian Buffini, in case you have never heard him speak.  I can't wait to share this with him.  It will certainly make him smile.  He will know I have been listening and putting his systems in place.

Get online, Google your trip!  Hope to see some of you at the events for this last quarter!  Go out and end the year with a bang!  Win the Last Quarter!  Whoo Hoo!
